In Scotland today, Donald Trump reiterated his earlier promise to “suspend immigration from areas of the world when there is a proven history of terrorism against the United States, Europe, or our allies, until we understand how to end these threats.” Scottish immigrants, he said, wouldn’t be a problem, but immigrants from other countries would be a problem:
Trump: “”I don’t want people coming in — I don’t want people coming in from certain countries. I don’t want people coming in from the terror countries. You have terror countries! I don’t want them, unless they’re very, very strongly vetted.”
Reporter: Which are these terror countries?
Trump: “They’re pretty well-decided. All you have to do is look.”

All right, then. Let’s look for countries with a proven history of terrorism against the United States, Europe, or our allies. How about Ireland? The Sutton Index lists 2,057 killings by Irish Republican terrorist groups between 1969 and 2001. That does it, then. Donald Trump is clearly against the immigration of any people from Ireland to the United States.
Right?
